Minaya begins his first season with the Ducks, second in the Atlantic League and second in professional baseball. The right-hander pitched in the Atlantic League in 2025 for the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars, striking out 50 batters in 83.0 innings pitched across 18 games, all as a starter.

The 24-year-old Hempstead, N.Y. resident pitched for Seton Hill University (Greensburg, PA) in 2024 and earned All MEAC honors after going 7-2 with a 4.69 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 55.2 innings pitched. He made his professional baseball debut with the Flying Boxcars on June 11, 2024, versus the York Revolution at Meritus Park.
