Alexander begins his first season with the Ducks and 16th in professional baseball. The southpaw spent 11 seasons in the Major Leagues, pitching for the Kansas City Royals (2015-17), Los Angeles Dodgers (2018-21), San Francisco Giants (2022-23, 2025), Oakland Athletics (2024) and Colorado Rockies (2025). In 349 MLB games (13 starts), he compiled a 21-16 record with a 3.36 ERA, 10 saves and 240 strikeouts to 121 walks over 327.0 innings pitched. He also appeared in four postseason games, helping the Dodgers win the 2018 National League championship. The California native was previously named an MiLB.com Organization All-Star in 2015 with the Royals. Alexander was originally drafted by the Royals in the sixth round of the 2010 amateur draft from Sonoma State University in California.
