Ducks stop by Academy Street Elementary

(Bayport, N.Y., Sept. 30, 2013) – On Monday, September 30, Ducks mascot QuackerJack went to Academy Street Elementary in Bayport to celebrate the students’ summer reading accomplishments.

This past summer, the students of Academy Street Elementary School read a total of 720 books. QJ helped honor this tremendous achievement by hanging out with the wonderful readers. The students found out that QJ’s favorite book is “Lucky Ducklings,” and the lovable mascot even spent time dancing to “Read Me Maybe,” a spinoff of the popular song “Call Me Maybe.”

QuackerJack and the Ducks Street Team, powered by National Grid, will attend the upcoming events listed below throughout the remainder of October. Be sure to stop by, congratulate the Ducks on winning back-to-back Atlantic League championships!
