Ducks mascot visits Alure Home Improvement and Telecare

(Central Islip, N.Y., Jan. 16, 2016) – Long Island Ducks mascot, QuackerJack, made a pair of appearances on Saturday in the Long Island community. Stops included Alure Home Improvement in East Meadow for their 9th Annual Home Design and Planning Show and Telecare’s TV studios for their annual Telethon.

While at Alure Home Improvement, QJ had a great time playing carnival games with the kids, waddling his tail to some music from WBLI and taking photos with fans. He even received his very own duck balloon animal!

Later in the day, QuackerJack was on hand to present Father Jim with a check for $1,000 as part of the Telecare Telethon. During his visit, he listened to stories about how much fun Father Jim has had at Bethpage Ballpark over the years.

The Long Island Ducks are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play their home games at Bethpage Ballpark. For further information, call (631) 940-DUCK or visit www.liducks.com.
