(Farmingdale, N.Y., Oct. 3, 2026) – Long Island Ducks mascot, QuackerJack, visited Farmingdale on Saturday to take part in the South Farmingdale Fire Department’s annual Fire Prevention Open House.

QJ got to ride in a fire truck and saw a demonstration of an extraction from a car with the Jaws of Life. QuackerJack learned a lot about fire safety, including how to put out kitchen fires, change out the batteries on smoke detectors and how to test them to make sure they are working properly.

The Long Island Ducks are entering their 27th season of play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play their home games at Fairfield Properties Ballpark in Central Islip, N.Y. They are the all-time leader in wins and attendance in Atlantic League history, have led all MLB Partner Leagues in total attendance for six consecutive seasons, have sold out a record 730 games all-time and are five-time Atlantic League Champions.
