Ducks mascot visits Central Islip Fire Department

(Central Islip, N.Y., Oct. 10, 2014) – Long Island Ducks mascot, QuackerJack, stopped by the Central Islip Fire Department on Friday to visit their Open House and celebrate Fire Prevention Week.

While there, QJ met with families in attendance at various fire safety stations throughout the department. At each station, firefighters showed home and vehicle safety demonstrations and registered youngsters for free child identifications. In addition, QuackerJack posed for pictures with those at the Fire Department, including Ronald McDonald.

Fans looking to say hello to Long Island’s favorite mascot can stop by the following events during the month of October:

October 18: TD Bank Grand Opening in East Islip (11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

October 31: Knights of Columbus Halloween Party in Central Islip (5:00 to 6:00 p.m.)
