(Wantagh, N.Y., Sept. 19, 2015) – On Saturday, September 19, QuackerJack joined hundreds of others at the Long Island Brain Tumor Walk at Jones Beach. The event helped raise awareness and much-needed resources to fund critical brain tumor-specific programs to improve the lives of all those affected by brain tumors.

Before the walk, participants took pictures and were greeted by QuackerJack as well as the GEICO Gecko. The two mascots also led kids in a pre-walk dance. With the support of the Long Island community, the Long Island Brain Tumor Walk was able to raise over $165,000!

QuackerJack and the Long Island Ducks Street Team will be at the following events during the month of October. If you’re there, be sure to stop by and say hello to Long Island’s favorite mascot!
