On Wednesday, Sept. 20, Long Island’s favorite mascot, QuackerJack, traveled to Northport to visit some friends and take part in the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center Harvest Festival.

QuackerJack had a great time at the festival with over 100 of his friends turning out to enjoy catered food, great music and family fun on the last official day of summer. In addition, QJ was joined by his good friend Mr. Met, the baseball-headed mascot of the New York Mets.

QJ posed for pictures and high-fived all of his fans while participating in the varied activities the festival had on tap. He also got an opportunity to dance along with some of the patrons in front of everyone in attendance, visit the on-site fortunate teller (who correctly predicted a Ducks win!), and enjoy magic tricks performed by a local magician. It was a memorable afternoon not just for QuackerJack, but for the entire Northport VAMC and its staff.
