(Flanders, N.Y., Dec. 4, 2019) – Long Island Ducks mascot, QuackerJack, took a journey out east on Wednesday night to take part in the annual lighting of the famous Big Duck in Flanders.

QJ was greeted warmly by families from all across Long Island for the holiday celebration. While at the free event, QuackerJack helped spread holiday cheer by joining the Riverhead Middle School Show Choir in singing duck carols. He also posed for photographs with fans of all ages and Santa Claus, who arrived courtesy of the Flanders Fire Department.

QuackerJack and Santa Claus will both be in attendance at Bethpage Ballpark on Saturday, December 7, when the Ducks celebrate the holiday season by re-opening the Waddle In Shop and kicking off their annual toy drive at 10:00 a.m. For more information, please CLICK HERE. Later that day, QJ will join Lew Ford, the 2019 Atlantic League Championship trophy, and the Ducks Street Team on Main Street for the annual Islip Holiday Parade, which is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.

The Long Island Ducks are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play their home games at Bethpage Ballpark. For further information, call (631) 940-DUCK or visit www.liducks.com.
