(Northport, N.Y., Sept. 16, 2015) – On Wednesday, Long Island Ducks mascot, QuackerJack, paid a visit to the Northport Veteran Affairs Medical Center for their annual Harvest Festival.

While there, QJ enjoyed a variety of fun activities taking place, including carnival games, live music, great food from Applebee’s and several antique cars. As part of the festivities, Applebee’s honored veterans in attendance by providing them with a free meal. In addition, the Ducks Street Team handed out buy one, get one free coupons for tickets to the Ducks’ 2015 playoff games at Bethpage Ballpark!

QuackerJack and the Long Island Ducks Street Team will be at the following events during the month of October. If you’re there, be sure to stop by and say hello to Long Island’s favorite mascot!

October 2: Levy Lakeside School PARP Kickoff in Merrick, N.Y. (2:00-3:00 p.m.)

October 15: Central Islip Fire Department Open House (7:00-8:00 p.m.)
