(Flanders, N.Y., Nov. 29, 2017) – On Wednesday evening, Long Island Ducks mascot, QuackerJack, attended the Big Duck Lighting ceremony in Flanders. Long Islanders have been making their way to the Big Duck Lighting for 29 years, and Long Island’s favorite mascot has been no exception.

QJ took pictures with families at the event, hung out with Santa Claus and even got to help with the countdown to the big wreath lighting. Holiday songs were sung by the Riverhead Middle School Show Choir, and Santa arrived at the Big Duck thanks to the Flanders Fire Department. The night was another festive celebration for everyone in attendance.

The Long Island Ducks are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play their home games at Bethpage Ballpark. For further information, call (631) 940-DUCK or visit www.liducks.com.
