(Flanders, N.Y., Dec. 1, 2022) – Long Island Ducks mascot, QuackerJack, headed out east to Flanders on Thursday night to attend the 34th annual Big Duck Lighting.

QJ said hello and took pictures with dozens of families from Long Island, who braved the cold weather to enjoy the festive occasion. Santa Claus was also in attendance for the lighting, riding in on a truck from the Flanders Fire Department. Students from the Riverhead Middle School Choir sang carols at the event too and helped flip the switch to light the Big Duck.

QuackerJack and Santa Claus will both be at the Waddle In Shop holiday store opening on Sunday, December 11. Fans can take free photos with both between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., with the store open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CLICK HERE for more information.
