Ducks mascot raises awareness for summer reading club

(Patchogue, N.Y., June 16, 2012)
– Long Island Ducks mascot, QuackerJack, was at the Patchogue-Medford Library on Saturday encouraging kids to read over their summer break.

Children who signed up for the summer reading program were awarded with Quackers and a high-five from their favorite mascot. All children and adults were able to pose for pictures with QJ, as he gave a big thumbs up to reading.

The Long Island Ducks are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play their home games at Bethpage Ballpark. For further information, call (631) 940-DUCK or visit www.liducks.com.
