(Central Islip, N.Y., Oct. 11, 2024) – QuackerJack and the Long Island Ducks paid a visit to the Central Islip Fire Department to attend CIFD’s Fire Prevention Night on Friday.

The event allowed families in the community to understand the importance of fire safety and learn some life saving tips when it comes to putting out common house fires. Those who attended were able to learn all of this information through fun interactive activities, such as how to safely leave a burning home and seeing the machines used to save those in accidents.

QJ had the opportunity to meet, greet and take photos with fans of all ages throughout the event and even learned some fire prevention tips that he brought back to the ballpark to teach the rest of the Ducks. He especially loved getting to hang out with Sparky, his favorite fire house dog!

The Long Island Ducks are entering their 25th Anniversary season of play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play their home games at Fairfield Properties Ballpark in Central Islip, N.Y. They are the all-time leader in wins and attendance in Atlantic League history, have led all MLB Partner Leagues in total attendance for four consecutive seasons, and have sold out a record 713 games all-time.
