(Seaford, N.Y., Oct. 25, 2012) – QuackerJack and the Long Island Ducks Street Team, powered by National Grid, visited St. William the Abbot School in Seaford on Thursday morning to take part in the school’s third ever Race For Education.

QJ helped lead the school’s 550 students in some pre-race stretching before kicking off the race and jogging a couple laps. In addition, the lovable mascot danced to a variety of tunes, high fived the racers as they came across the finish line and posed for pictures with adoring fans.

The Race For Education is a student jog-a-thon held to raise funds for the advancement of technology resources available to students at St. William the Abbot School. The school’s goal this year is to purchase at least 33 laptops for the computer lab and 66 iPads, along with iPad mobile carts that can store, secure, charge and transport the devices into the classrooms.

QuackerJack and the Ducks Street Team, powered by National Grid, will be in attendance at these upcoming events. Be sure to stop by and congratulate the Ducks on winning the 2012 Atlantic League Championship:
