(Central Islip, N.Y., Oct. 12, 2012) – From Sunday, October 7 to Saturday, October 13, the Central Islip Fire Department held its Fire Prevention Week, during which they educated residents on the importance of fire safety, both in the home and out of it. QuackerJack visited the Fire House on Friday, October 12 to increase his knowledge on fire safety.

From 7 to 8 p.m., QJ took part in an event that featured live demonstrations on fire safety as well as exhibits and the distribution of educational materials. The lovable mascot also signed autographs and took pictures with those in attendance.
