Ducks’ mascot enjoys Harvest Festival

(Northport, N.Y., Sept. 17, 2014) – On Tuesday, Sept. 17, Long Island’s favorite mascot, QuackerJack, traveled to Northport to visit some friends and take part in the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center Harvest Festival.

QuackerJack felt right at home at the festival, as well over a hundred people turned out to enjoy beautiful weather, catered food, great music and family fun. In addition, QuackerJack was joined by his good friend Sparky, the mascot for the New York Islanders.

QJ made his rounds, posing for pictures and high-fiving all of his fans while participating in the varied games the festival had on tap. He also got an opportunity to dance along with some of the patrons in front of everyone in attendance, visit the on-site petting zoo and check out the vintage car display. It was a memorable afternoon for not only QuackerJack, but also the entire Northport VAMC.

The Long Island Ducks are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play their home games at Bethpage Ballpark. For further information, call (631) 940-DUCK or visit www.liducks.com.
