Camden plated the first run in the opening inning when Brandon Chaves scored on a double play grounder. Long Island knotted the score in the second on a RBI double to left field by Delta Cleary, Jr. off of Riversharks starter Fu-Te Ni.

It stayed 1-1 until the bottom of the fifth when a sacrifice fly to left off the bat of Bryan Sabatella put the Ducks in front 2-1. The Ducks would hold that lead until the ninth inning when Mike Costanzo tied the game with a two-out solo home run to center.

Long Island would rally back to win the game in the bottom of the 10th. Back-to-back one-out singles set the stage for Prentice Redman, who won the game with a RBI single to left.

Neither starter factored into the decision. Andrew Barbosa pitched five innings for the Ducks, allowing one run on four hits while striking out four. Ni gave up two runs on six hits and two walks with two strikeouts in seven innings. Ryan Kussmaul (1-0) collected the win despite allowing a run on one hit in two innings of relief. Dan Blewett (0-1) suffered the loss, surrendering a run on three hits in one and two-thirds innings.

Redman, Lew Ford and Dan Lyons each had three hits to lead the Flock offensively.
