(York, Pa., Sept. 2, 2026) – The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the York Revolution on Wednesday night in the second game of a six-game series at WellSpan Park.
Long Island scored their first three runs of the ballgame on a 355-foot solo home run by Jorge Bonifacio over the Arch Nemesis in left field in the second and a 339-foot two-run tater again to left from Bonifacio in the fourth. The Flock added a pair of runs in the fifth on a 356-foot two-run blast to left produced by René Pinto fifth. The visitors scored twice in the sixth on a Jacob Robson run-scoring fielder’s choice and RBI infield single produced by Henry Kusiak. The Ducks plated two more in the eighth thanks to Kusiak’s 417-foot two-run blast to left-center and added one more in the ninth on Marcus Chiu’s 386-foot leadoff solo four-bagger to left-center.
Kusiak finished the night with two hits, three RBIs, a run scored and a walk. Bonifacio had two hits, three RBIs, two runs scored and a walk. Pinto collected two hits, two RBIs and three runs scored. Alsander Womack notched two hits and scored a pair of runs.
The Ducks and Revolution continue their six-game set on Thursday evening. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.at WellSpan Park. Long Island returns home on Friday, September 11, for their final homestand of the regular season as they begin a three-game weekend series against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. Game time is slated for 6:35 p.m., with the Fairfield Properties Ballpark gates opening at 5:35 (5:20 for full season ticket holders).
