Long Island struck first in the bottom of the second when Dan Lyons lifted a RBI sacrifice fly to center off York starter Jesus Sanchez. Both teams exchanged zeroes until the top of the eighth when Scott Grimes scored on a fielding error, tying the game at one.

It stayed that way until the top of the 12th when a pair of solo home runs by Ramon Castro and Chris Nowak gave the Revs a 3-1 lead.

Neither starter factored into the decision. Randy Keisler tossed seven shutout innings, allowing just three hits and four walks while striking out three. Sanchez tossed five and one-third innings, yielding one run on three hits and four walks. Adam Thomas (2-1) got the win, tossing a scoreless inning of relief, and Dan Meyer (1-2) suffered the loss, yielding two runs on three hits in one and two-thirds innings of relief. Stephen Penney earned his first save, recording the final two outs.

The Ducks and Revolution continue their series with a day/night doubleheader on Saturday. Game time for the opener is set for 1:05 p.m., with the Bethpage Ballpark gates opening at 12:05, while game two will begin at 7:05, with the gates opening at 6:05.
