(York, Pa., Aug. 5, 2026) – The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the York Revolution 8-2 on Wednesday night in the middle game of a three-game series at WellSpan Park.
The Revolution took an early 3-0 lead in the opening inning on Jacob Teter’s RBI single to center field and Drew Ramirez’s two-run single to center. Mike Rosario’s solo home run to right field in the fourth and Shed Long Jr.’s two-run homer to right in the fifth off Ducks starter Ryan Cardona stretched York’s lead to six.
Long Island got on the scoreboard in the seventh courtesy of a two-out RBI single up the middle by Alsander Womack. Henry Kusiak added a 397-foot solo homer to left-center in the eighth, his second longball in as many nights. However, a two-run homer by Nick Dunn to left-center in the bottom of the eighth put the game out of reach.
Revolution starter Julian Costa (6-2) earned the win, tossing six and two-thirds innings of one-run ball, allowing four hits and two walks. Cardona (3-2) took the loss, conceding six runs on eight hits and three walks in four and one-third innings with three strikeouts.
Kusiak led the Ducks offense with three hits, an RBI and a run. Terrell Tatum added a hit, a walk and a run.
The Ducks and Revolution wrap up their three-game set on Thursday night. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at WellSpan Park. Long Island returns home on Tuesday, August 11, to begin a six-game series with the Revolution. Game time is slated for 5:05 p.m., with the Fairfield Properties Ballpark gates opening at 4:05 (3:50 for full season ticket holders).
