(Central Islip, N.Y., June 11, 2023) – The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the York Revolution 12-5 on Sunday afternoon in the final game of a three-game series at Fairfield Properties Ballpark.

The Revolution offense was led by a pair of three-run home runs. Trey Martin’s three-run homer to left in the third highlighted a seven-run frame. Troy Stokes Jr. added another three-run shot in the fourth as part of a five-RBI day.

Brantley Bell and Alex Dickerson both launched solo homers for the Ducks, with Bell’s coming in the third and Dickerson’s coming in the fourth. Bell added an RBI infield single to short in the fifth, Dickerson added an RBI double to left-center in the sixth, and Adeiny Hechavarria chipped in with an RBI double to right in the seventh.

Sutera (3-2) picked up the win, tossing six and two-thirds innings of five-run ball, allowing six hits and two walks while striking out seven. Harkin (0-1) took the loss, surrendering nine runs on eight hits and a walk in two and one-third innings with three strikeouts.

Bell led the Ducks offense with two hits, two RBIs, two runs and a walk. Dickerson finished with two hits, two RBIs and a run as well.

The Ducks continue their homestand on Tuesday night when they open a three-game series against the Charleston Dirty Birds. Game time is slated for 6:35 p.m., with the Fairfield Properties Ballpark gates opening at 5:35 (5:20 for full season ticket holders). It’s a Triple Play Tuesday at the ballpark! Right-hander Joe Iorio (2-4, 6.19) gets the start for the Ducks against a Dirty Birds starter to be determined.
