(Central Islip, N.Y., Aug. 15, 2026) – The Long Island Ducks defeated the York Revolution 7-1 on Saturday night in the fifth game of a six-game series before a past-capacity crowd of 6,048 at Fairfield Properties Ballpark.
The Revolution grabbed the game’s first run in the opening inning on Brian Rey’s RBI fielder’s choice, but the Ducks tied the game in the bottom of the frame on Jacob Robson’s two-out double that was coupled with a fielding error which allowed Wilmer Difo to scored. Four runs for the Flock in the second off Revolution starter Rhett Kouba put the hosts in front 5-1. Terrell Tatum’s two-run home run to left field, a balk that scored René Pinto and an RBI single by Difo did the damage.
Pinto made it a five-run game with a 401-foot solo home run to left field in the fourth. It stayed that way until the eighth when Jorge Bonifacio added a 398-foot solo shot over the left-center field fence, pushing the advantage to 7-1.
Ducks starter Tanner Jacobson (5-5) earned the win, tossing six innings and allowing one unearned run on four hits and two walks while striking out seven batters. Kouba (8-4) took the loss, conceding six runs (five earned) on eight hits and two walks in six innings with four strikeouts. Rafael Kelly, Luis Gonzalez and Jacob Asa combined for three scoreless innings of relief for the Ducks, conceding one hit with two strikeouts.
Tatum led the Ducks offense with two hits, two RBIs and a run. Pinto added two hits, an RBI, two runs and a walk, while Difo chipped in with two hits, an RBI and a run.
The Ducks and Revolution wrap up their six-game set on Sunday evening. Game time is slated for 5:05 p.m., with the Fairfield Properties Ballpark gates opening at 4:05 (3:50 for full season ticket holders). The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive Ducks Drawstring Bags, courtesy of The Play That Goes Wrong. It’s also a FourLeaf Family Funday Sunday, featuring a pregame Catch on the Field and postgame Kids Run the Bases. A Ducks starter to be determined will toe the rubber against Revolution lefty Brendan Yagesh (1-0, 3.92).
