For the third consecutive game, the Ducks put up a two-spot in the first inning. Josh Barfield’s RBI triple to right-center and Bill Hall’s solo home run to center off Camden starter A.J. Battisto gave Long Island a 2-0 lead. Two more runs in the fourth inning on Kraig Binick’s RBI double and Dan Lyons’ run-scoring groundout doubled the advantage to four.

The Riversharks cut the lead in half on Raul Padron’s two-run homer to right in the sixth off Ducks starter Bill Murphy. A seven-run seventh inning put Camden in front for good. RBI singles by Billy Rice, Wilson Valdez and Dionys Cesar along with a three-run homer by Delwyn Young highlighted the inning. Three more runs in the eighth inning closed out the scoring.

Murphy did not factor into the decision, tossing six innings, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out three.
