Blevins returns to the coaching staff for his fourth consecutive season as pitching coach. Long Island’s pitching staff led the Atlantic League in ERA (4.84) and batting average against (.251) for the second year in a row. They also allowed the fewest runs (663) and hits (1,050) while leading the circuit in strikeouts (1,175). Four pitchers had their contract transferred during the 2026 season, including Trevor Bauer (Diablos Rojos del Mexico), Ramon Santos (Saraperos de Saltillo), Scott Alexander (Kansas City Royals) and Drew VerHagen (Guerreros de Oaxaca). Santos was named an Atlantic League Midseason and Postseason All-Star, while Bauer earned Midseason All-Star honors and threw a no-hitter.

The 41-year-old spent eight seasons of his 13-year professional playing career in the Atlantic League, including five with the Ducks (2012-16). The right-handed pitcher posted a 2.70 ERA in three postseason starts during Long Island’s back-to-back Atlantic League Championship runs in 2012 and 2013. Two of those were quality starts in winner-take-all Game Fives in 2012. During his Ducks career, the Briarcliff, N.Y., native posted with a 3.88 ERA and 291 strikeouts over 73 regular season appearances (69 starts).
