Ford begins his fourth season as Ducks manager and 17th with the organization. The six-year MLB veteran has posted a winning season each year at the helm, compiling a 216-162 regular season record (.571 winning percentage) and a perfect 6-0 postseason record. He guided Long Island to the Atlantic League’s best record in 2026 at 80-46, with the .635 winning percentage setting a franchise single-season record. The Ducks then won all six of their playoff games en route to the Atlantic League Championship, Ford’s first title as manager after playing on three championship-winning teams as a Ducks player (2012, 2013 and 2019).

The Selden, N.Y., resident has helped lead the Flock to nine division championships and 12 postseason appearances as a player/coach. Additionally, he seen 24 Ducks players have their contract transferred to a Major League organization or foreign professional league during his three seasons as manager. After being named the Atlantic League Player of the Year in 2014, he has helped two other Ducks earn the same honor (Jordany Valdespin, 2018; Steve Lombardozzi, 2021) and two others win the Atlantic League batting title (Sean Burroughs, 2025; Alejandro De Aza, 2022) as a coach.

During his franchise-best 13-year playing career with the Ducks (nine in a player/coach role), the 50-year-old totaled a team record 1,036 hits, good for the third-most in Atlantic League history. He ranks second all-time in franchise history for batting (.318, min. 1,000 at bats), games played (877), RBIs (511), runs scored (549), doubles (227) and total bases (1,541). Ford was also selected to play in three Atlantic League All-Star Games (2014, 2015 and 2018), earned two ALPB Postseason All-Star selections (2014, 2018) and set ALPB single-season records for hits (1898) and games played (140) during his 2014 MVP season.
