Tempone begins his second season with the Ducks as the team’s bullpen catcher in 2026. The 24-year-old played four seasons (2022-25) of collegiate baseball at the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth, where he majored in Business Administration (MBA). In 129 games, he compiled a .242 batting average with 14 home runs, 89 RBIs, 57 runs, 100 hits, 25 doubles, two triples, 58 walks, seven stolen bases and a .756 OPS. He led the team in 2025 with five homers, 41 RBIs, 52 total bases and 120 at bats. The Smithtown, N.Y., native also played three seasons ( in the Hamptons Collegiate League with the South Shore Clippers. In 61 games, he totaled six homers, 26 RBIs, 27 runs, 29 hits, five doubles, one triple, 29 walks and a .309 on-base percentage.
