Ruben Gotay put the Ducks on top 1-0 with a leadoff solo home run to right field in the second inning off Revolution starter Tony Pena. It remained that way until the fifth when Mike Blanke launched a mammoth two-run homer to left, increasing the advantage to 3-0.

That was more than enough for Nick Struck (2-3) to earn the win. The righty tossed seven shutout innings, allowing just three hits and three walks while striking out four. Pena (7-8) suffered the loss, giving up three runs on four hits and a walk with four strikeouts in seven innings. Todd Coffey picked up his 22nd save of the season with a scoreless ninth inning.

Five different Ducks collected a hit, with Blanke driving in a pair of runs.

The Ducks and Revolution continue their three-game set on Saturday night. Game time is slated for 6:35 p.m. with the Bethpage Ballpark gates opening at 5:35 (5:20 for full season ticket holders).
