The Long Island Ducks wrap up their six-game series against the High Point Rockers and the 2024 season today. Right-hander Chris Ellis toes the rubber for the Ducks against Rockers righty Jeremy Rhoades. CLICK HERE to get tickets!

Game time is slated for 1:35 p.m., with the Fairfield Properties Ballpark gates opening at 12:35 (12:20 for full season ticket holders). The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive Ducks Sunglasses, courtesy of Youth Enrichment Services. The Ducks will also be wearing special purple jerseys during the game as part of the Islip Goes Purple initiative, designed to unite The Town of Islip in raising awareness of mental health, substance use disorder and celebrating those in recovery. Fans can place their bids on these jerseys via the LiveSource mobile app, with net proceeds from the auction benefiting Youth Enrichment Services.

It’s a Sunday Family Funday as well, presented by Bethpage Federal Credit Union. Prior to the game, fans will be invited down for a pregame catch on the field from 12:40 to 1:00. After the game, all fans can take part in the weekly tradition of running the bases. PLEASE NOTE: The pregame Catch on the Field and postgame Kids Run the Bases are both weather dependent.

THINGS TO KNOW:

  • The on-field catch is a limited opportunity and is on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis. Fans that arrive and get in line early have a better chance of participating. The Ducks will cut off participation when we feel it is necessary.
  • All participants must have their own glove and ball.
  • One of the participants must be an adult. The pair can be adult/child or adult/adult. It cannot be child/child.
  • Only participants can be on the field (no spectators, family photographers, etc).
  • Entrance/line for this opportunity will be on the lower 3rd base concourse by section 111.
  • There will be a table and fans will need to sign a waiver to get on the field.
  • The catch will take place on the outfield grass only.
  • Participants must complete a waiver (CLICK HERE to print and complete in advance)

Finally, it’s an Unused Ticket Day. Fans who were unable to make it out to a ballgame earlier this season and are still in possession of their unused tickets can exchange them for tickets of equal or lesser value at the Fairfield Properties Ballpark box office to tonight’s game.
