Four lucky contestants win TD Bank’s essay contest
(Central Islip, N.Y., Dec. 3, 2013) – The Long Island Ducks and TD Bank today announced the four winners of TD Bank’s annual “Take a Duck to Class” essay contest. Over 1,000 outstanding essays were written and submitted for this year’s contest, and both the Ducks and TD Bank would like to thank everyone who participated. It was a very tough decision once again to choose just four essays from the entire contestant pool.
The following are this year’s four winners:
Yashmita Logaraj – Third Grade – Pines Elementary School (Hauppauge, NY)
Kaylee Bertolino – Fifth Grade – Boyle Road Elementary School (Port Jefferson Station, NY)
Jasmine Roldan – Third Grade – Fork Lane School (Hicksville, NY)
Elana Gold – Fifth Grade – Joseph Edgar Elementary School (Rocky Point, NY)
Contestants were able to pick up entry forms at TD Bank locations on Long Island and write in 250 words or less “Why My Community is Important to Me.” The four lucky winners will have a member of the Ducks and QuackerJack visit them at their school for an hour and receive a Visa Gift Card, courtesy of TD Bank. The visiting dates for the lucky winners are as follows:
Yashmita Logaraj – Wednesday, January 22 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
