Four lucky contestants win TD Bank’s essay contest

(Central Islip, N.Y., Nov. 27, 2012) – The Long Island Ducks and TD Bank today announced the four winners of this year’s annual TD Bank “Take a Duck to Class” essay contest. There were a plethora of outstanding essays submitted for this year’s contest, and both the Ducks and TD Bank would like to thank everyone who participated for their outstanding work.

The following are this year’s four winners:

Amanda Dewey, 9 – Paul J. Bellew Elementary School in West Islip
Alexa Lipsenthal, 7 – East Plain Elementary School in Massapequa
Hannah Niggemeier, 11 – Sayville Middle School
Austin Faber, 9 – Forest Brook Elementary School in Smithtown

Contestants each submitted entry forms available at TD Bank locations on Long Island and wrote in 250 words or less “Why My Community is Important to Me.” The four lucky winners will have a Ducks player and QuackerJack visit them at their school for an hour and receive a Visa Gift Card, courtesy of TD Bank. Visiting dates are currently being selected for the lucky winners and will be announced soon.
