The Revolution opened the scoring in the first inning when Andres Perez drew a bases loaded walk against Ducks starter Jack Snodgrass. It stayed 1-0 until the top of the seventh inning when Mike Blanke tied the game with an RBI fielder’s choice off Revolution starter Matt Neil.

Long Island would take the lead for good with two runs in the ninth inning off York closer Mike DeMark. Following an error, Blake Tekotte lined a two-run home run over the right field wall, putting the Ducks in front 3-1.
