(Central Islip, N.Y., Sept. 30, 2026) – The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball Clubs (ALPB) today announced its Postseason All-Star Team for the 2026 season. Long Island Ducks outfielder Jorge Bonifacio, shortstop Wilmer Difo and closer Ramon Santos were all selected to the team, as voted on by the league’s member clubs.
“Jorge, Wilmer and Ramon each played a vital role in helping us win our fifth Atlantic League Championship,” said Ducks Manager Lew Ford. “All three are very deserving of selection, and we are very proud of them for all they accomplished.”
Bonifacio put together a historic 2026 season for the Ducks, setting franchise single season records with 30 home runs and 108 RBIs. In 112 games played, he posted a .271 batting average and a .926 OPS along with 112 hits, 95 runs, 28 doubles, four triples, 55 walks and 12 stolen bases. Defensively, the 33-year-old did not commit a single error over 86 games played in the outfield, earning a spot on the ALPB’s Drake All-Defensive Team. The five-year MLB veteran was also selected as the Ducks 2026 Team MVP, presented by Delmonte-Smelson Jewelers.
Difo also made Ducks history in 2026, setting a new franchise single season record with 60 stolen bases, a total that ranked third in the Atlantic League. The mark broke Mel Stocker’s team record of 56 steals set 20 years ago in 2006. Additionally, the eight-year MLB veteran led the Ducks with 88 walks, good for second-most in the league (Jared Carr, Hagerstown, 97), and led the team with 119 hits and 116 games played as well. The 34-year-old compiled a .286 batting average, 16 home runs, 68 RBIs, 91 runs, 15 doubles, three triples and an .855 OPS.
Santos was the league’s top closer in 2026. His 1.40 ERA, .096 batting average against, 0.83 WHIP and 17.46 strikeouts-per-nine-innings ratio led all Atlantic League relievers with 25 or more appearances. Additionally, his 13 saves ranked third in the league. In 36 appearances, the righty totaled 75 strikeouts to 20 walks over 38.2 innings of work, conceding an earned run in just four of his outings. The 32-year-old, who was also selected to the ALPB’s Mid-Season All-Star Team, is now 12-3 with a 0.86 ERA, 33 saves and 188 strikeouts in 100 appearances with the Ducks over the past three seasons.
This marks the 23rd season in which the Ducks earned an Atlantic League Postseason All-Star Team selection. It is also Long Island’s highest Postseason All-Star total since 2015 when four players were selected (SP John Brownell, DH Sean Burroughs, SS Dan Lyons, 2B Cody Puckett).
