Four lucky contestants to receive visit from QuackerJack at school

(Central Islip, N.Y., Nov. 25, 2015) – The Long Island Ducks and TD Bank today announced the four winners of the annual TD Bank “Take a Duck to Class” essay contest. Once again, a record number of essays were submitted for this year’s contest. The Ducks and TD Bank would like to thank everyone who participated in the contest for writing outstanding essays.

The following are this year’s TD Bank “Take a Duck to Class” essay contest winners:

Kevin Mauri – Fourth Grade – Bayview Elementary School (West Islip, N.Y.)
Sean Napoli – Sixth Grade – Jonas E. Salk Middle School (Levittown, N.Y.)
Samantha Rivera – Third Grade – North Coleman Road Elementary School (Centereach, N.Y.)
Ayse Yildiz – Fifth Grade – Santapogue Elementary School (West Babylon, N.Y.)

Contestants were able to pick up entry forms at Bethpage Ballpark, the home of the Ducks, or download them online at www.liducks.com. The contest required essays of 250 words or less to be submitted on the topic “Who is a hero in your community and why?” The four lucky winners above will have Ducks mascot, QuackerJack, visit them at their school for an hour and will receive a Visa Gift Card, courtesy of TD Bank. Visiting dates are currently being selected for the winners and will be announced soon.
