Navarrete, who just completed his franchise record seventh season with the Flock, became the team’s all-time games played leader in 2012, surpassing Justin Davies, and set an Atlantic League record with 50 doubles. The Port Washington resident earned his franchise-record fifth All-Star appearance this past season, leading the team with a .309 batting average, 90 RBI and 131 games played to go along with 18 home runs.

Outfielder Timo Perez earned second place honors in the “Best Long Island Duck” category after hitting .292 with three homers, 14 RBI and 20 runs in 50 games. Shortstop and Atlantic League Championship Series Most Valuable Player Dan Lyons took home third place in the category after being named the starting shortstop during the All-Star Game, driving in 56 runs and compiling 17 doubles and six triples in 127 games. The second-year Duck also had two game-winning hits in the Championship Series, including a walk-off bunt single in the ninth inning of the deciding Game Five.
