The Ducks opened the scoring with an Adam Bailey two-run home run in the second inning off York starter Pedro Liriano. Ray Navarrete stretched the lead to three with a RBI double in the third inning. York stormed back though with 10 runs in the fourth inning on eight hits to take the lead for good. Home runs by Andy Marte and James Shanks keyed the rally. A Brian Burgamy two-run home run in the fifth extended the Revolution lead to 12-3.

Long Island answered back with four runs in the sixth inning to close the gap to five. Gabe Suarez and Dan Lyons had RBI singles, and P.J. Phillips drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. However, a Wilson Batista two-run homer in the eighth put the game out of reach.

John Brownell (1-3) took the loss for the Ducks, surrendering seven runs and 11 hits in three and one-third innings. York reliever Kris Regas (1-1) recorded the win despite allowing four runs on five hits in three innings of work. Liriano did not factor into the decision but yielded three runs on four hits in three innings.

Bailey led the Ducks with two runs batted in and joined Joash Brodin, Ralph Henriquez, Suarez and Lyons with two hits.

The Ducks and Revs wrap up their three-game set on Thursday night. Game time is slated for 6:35 p.m., with the Bethpage Ballpark gates opening at 5:35.
