“The Fun Begins Here!”
 
(Central Islip, N.Y., Mar. 20, 2012) – The Long Island Ducks today announced the club’s promotional schedule for the 2012 season. The team also unveiled their marketing slogan for the 2012 campaign, “The Fun Begins Here,” which will adorn promotional items and marketing materials throughout the season.

“We have incredible promotions lined up all season long,” says Ducks President/General Manager Michael Pfaff. “As we enter our 13th season, Ducks baseball continues to be the starting point for fun and affordable family entertainment on Long Island.”

All the excitement begins on Opening Night, Friday, May 4, when Long Island (and America’s) #1 family-owned and operated appliance and electronics company, P.C. Richard & Son, will present “Whistle Guy Bobblehead Night.” Bobbles of the P.C. Richard and Son mascot will be handed out to the first 2,000 fans, courtesy of the electronics & appliance giant and long-time Ducks sponsor, prior to the Ducks game against the Camden Riversharks at 7:05 p.m.

The promotional schedule is also highlighted by a record-high 14 Grucci Fireworks Extravaganzas sprinkled throughout the year, four more than in 2011. Along with the always-popular giveaways like t-shirts, hats and baseballs, fans will also be treated to items such as cow bells, posters, foam fingers, water bottles, and megaphones, as well as several other giveaways for fans of all ages. The Ducks will also host an array of theme nights, including the Eighth Annual Italian Heritage Night, the Sixth Annual Irish Heritage Night, Health Night, Military Appreciation Night, Stranger Safety Awareness Day, and the Seventh Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night. Tickets for all of these dates are on sale NOW!
