Unique Opportunity to learn and play with the Long Island Ducks

(Central Islip, N.Y., Feb. 21, 2012) –
The Long Island Ducks today announced the dates for their annual youth camps & clinics held at Bethpage Ballpark. Players of all abilities are welcome, and interested parties are encouraged to sign up early due to limited availability. Sign up forms are available by CLICKING HERE or by calling (631) 940-3825 ext. 102.

“Ducks baseball clinics are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” says president/general manager Michael Pfaff. “To learn from Ducks players and coaches is an invaluable experience for any aspiring ballplayer.”

The first clinic session will take place on Friday, July 20 and Saturday, July 21, while session two will begin on Friday, August 10 and end on Saturday, August 11. Each camp day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and campers should arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. each day.

Clinics are open to children between the ages of seven and 14.  For just $195, campers get two days of instruction, lunch each day of the camp, an equipment bag and a Ducks Baseball Clinic jersey. Just bring your glove and a bat and be ready to play, rain or shine!

The baseball clinics have been extremely popular among players and parents each season. Check out what a few parents from the 2011 Ducks camps have said:

“My son had a thrilling time at the camp, being on the field with the players and learning some techniques. I think the experience was great, and we will return next year.” – Charles Keeling

“Wanted to thank the Long Island Ducks for a great camp you had this past Friday and Saturday. My son loved it and got so much out of it! Great job!” – Connie (BelloBambino via Twitter)

“My son has done this camp twice already and has loved it more and more each time. The Ducks players and QuackerJack are AWESOME with the kids. They really take time to teach them all the fundamentals of the game, and for that, we are truly grateful.”
– Lori Ann & Spencer Milito
