Opportunity for fans to exchange tickets from missed games

(Central Islip, N.Y., June 10, 2013) – The Long Island Ducks today announced that Monday, June 24, Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday, June 26 will be “Unused Ticket Days” at Bethpage Ballpark. If you could not make it out to a ballgame during the 2013 season and are still in possession of your unused tickets, the club is offering fans the chance to exchange them for ones of equal or lesser value at the Bethpage Ballpark Box Office, subject to availability.

“This is a great opportunity for fans who were inconvenienced by the inclement weather early this season to still enjoy all the fun of Ducks baseball,” says Ducks president and general manager Michael Pfaff. “We hope to see everyone that could not make it out to games earlier this season here at Bethpage Ballpark cheering on the Ducks against the cross-sound rival Bridgeport Bluefish.”

Ticket holders interested in trading in their unused tickets can do so by visiting the Bethpage Ballpark box office. Tickets can be exchanged for games on June 24, 25 and 26 against the Bluefish. June 24 will feature a single admission doubleheader that begins at 6:05 p.m. while the games on June 25 and 26 are scheduled to begin at 6:35 PM. The ballpark gates will open at 5:35 on all three dates. A one dollar fee per ticket will be applied to account for the Suffolk County surcharge on all tickets.

Highlights for the unused ticket day games include:

June 24 – Single admission doubleheader featuring two seven inning games (including make-up of June 6 postponed game). Enjoy 14 innings of baseball between cross-sound rivals at the Duck Pond!

June 25 – The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive Thundersticks, courtesy of Big Geyser.

June 26 – The first 1,500 fans through the gates will take home Dr. QuackerJack T-Shirts, courtesy of the Peconic Bay Medical Center.

The exchanging of tickets must be done at the Bethpage Ballpark Box Office, and cannot be done over the phone or via the Internet. For more information, please contact the ticket office at (631) 940-TIXX.
