Fans place bids on game-worn Long Island Ducks jerseys
The Long Island Ducks annual Patriotic Jersey Auction was another outstanding success in 2017! Fans were able to place their bids on these special red, white and blue jerseys, which were worn during the Ducks’ 9-3 win over the Lancaster Barnstormers on July 4 to celebrate Independence Day and during the team’s 4-3 victory over the Bridgeport Bluefish on August 5, which was Military Appreciation Night at Bethpage Ballpark, presented by Northrop Grumman.
Bids started at $75 and were increased in minimum $10 increments. Bidding ran through the conclusion of the top of the seventh inning during the August 5 game, and fans were able to place their bids by visiting the Waddle In Shop on the main concourse behind home plate during the game.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the QuackerJack Foundation, the charitable arm of the Long Island Ducks. All donations are tax deductible. The QuackerJack Foundation has contributed to thousands of non-profit and like organizations each year while bringing awareness to worthy programs and causes in need of assistance on Long Island.
