The Long Island Ducks annual Breast Cancer Awareness Jersey Auction is now underway. Fans can place their bids on special pink jerseys worn by Ducks players and coaches during their game against the Lancaster Stormers on Saturday, August 31, which was Breast Cancer Awareness Night, presented by Uncle Giuseppe’s.
Fans may place their bids through 6:35 p.m. on Friday, September 6. Bids start at $75 and will be increased in minimum $10 increments. Those wishing to place their bids can do so via the LiveSource mobile app. Winners will be contacted by the Ducks organization in the days following the auction.
Net proceeds from the auction will benefit various Breast Cancer awareness organizations in attendance on August 31 via the QuackerJack Foundation, the charitable arm of the Ducks. All donations are tax deductible. The QuackerJack Foundation has contributed to thousands of non-profit and like organizations each year while bringing awareness to worthy programs and causes in need of assistance on Long Island.
The Ducks are in their 24th season of play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play their home games at Fairfield Properties Ballpark in Central Islip, N.Y. They are the all-time leader in wins and attendance in Atlantic League history, led all MLB Partner Leagues in attendance in 2023, and have sold out a record 712 games all-time.
