Learn and play on the same field as Long Island’s hometown team
(Central Islip, N.Y., Feb. 21, 2014) – The Long Island Ducks today announced the dates for their annual youth camps & clinics at Bethpage Ballpark this summer. The clinics are open to children ages seven to 14 of all abilities, and interested parties are encouraged to sign up early due to limited availability. Sign up forms are available by CLICKING HERE or by calling (631) 940-3825 ext. 102.
“This opportunity provides invaluable experience for any young ballplayer,” says Ducks president and general manager Michael Pfaff. “To be on the same field as the back-to-back champions and learn the game from professional ballplayers is a memory that no child will ever forget.”
The first clinic session will take place on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19 while session two will begin on Friday, August 15 and end on Saturday, August 16. Each camp day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and campers should arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. each day.
Campers receive two days of instruction, lunch each day of the camp, an equipment bag and a Ducks Baseball Clinic jersey. At the conclusion of Day Two, there will be a game played by campers on the field at Bethpage Ballpark. Just bring your glove and a bat and be ready to play, rain or shine!
Ducks baseball clinics have been extremely popular among players and parents each season. Check out what a few parents from previous Ducks camps have said:
“My son had a thrilling time at the camp, being on the field with the players and learning some techniques. I think the experience was great!”
– Charles Keeling
“I just want to say thank you to all the Ducks for putting on such a wonderful and informative baseball clinic. My son Spencer has done this camp twice already and has loved it more and more each time he did it. The Ducks players and QuackerJack are AWESOME with the kids. They really take time to teach them all the fundamentals of the game, and for that, we are truly grateful. My son Spencer had a wonderful time!”
– Lori Ann Milito
