Six contestants chosen to sing during 2015 season

(Central Islip, N.Y., April 16, 2015) – The Long Island Ducks, in conjunction with 106.1-FM WBLI, held their annual “Anthem Idol” contest on Saturday, April 11 at Bethpage Ballpark. Contestants vied for six openings to perform the National Anthem before a Ducks game during the 2015 season. Each contestant performed a 90-second rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” before the judges, Ducks On-Field Host Fred Forgione, WBLI Radio Personality MJ and Ducks Account Executive Ashley Bush.

“We would like to thank everyone who came out and took part in this year’s competition,” says Ducks Director of Promotions and Marketing Jordan Schiff. “Everyone did an outstanding job performing for our judges and made it extremely difficult for our judges to pick just six winners.”

The following are the winners of this year’s “Anthem Idol” contest and the dates that they will be performing the National Anthem at Bethpage Ballpark:

Tom Golly (Deer Park) – Saturday, July 4 at 6:35 p.m.
