Enjoy a behind-the-scenes view from Long Island’s hometown team
(Central Islip, N.Y., Aug. 9, 2016) – The three-time Atlantic League champion Long Island Ducks have announced the debut of their brand new Snapchat account. Fans can now add longislandducks on Snapchat to receive daily photo and video updates from the team.
“Snapchat has become one of the most engaging social media platforms worldwide,” said Ducks President/GM Michael Pfaff. “We want to bring fans closer to the fun-filled atmosphere at the ballpark on a daily basis.”
Throughout the year, the Ducks will be posting updates to their story regarding nightly promotions, game status, and so much more. In addition, fans will be taken behind-the-scenes to see the game and on-field contests from exclusive angles. During the season, Ducks players, coaches and staff will also be involved in helping make Snapchat an interactive way to learn more about the team.
To begin following the Ducks, simply download the Snapchat app on your Apple or Android-powered device. After creating an account, choose one of the three options below:
Add by Username
1) Open Snapchat and tap the icon at the top-middle of the screen
2) Tap the “Add Friends” button
3) Tap “Add by Username”
4) Type longislandducks in the search bar and tap the “+Add” button on the right
Add by Snapcode (Via Mobile)
1) CLICK HERE and take select to open the page in Snapchat
2) When longislandducks pops up in app, select “Add Friend”
Add by Snapcode (Via Desktop)
1) Open Snapchat on mobile device
2) Position camera over Snapcode in story photo above
3) Place and hold finger on Snapcode until longislandducks pops up
4) Tap “Add Friend”
