Fun-filled day for everyone at Bethpage Ballpark

The three-time Atlantic League champion Long Island Ducks today will host their Fourth Annual Fan Fest at Bethpage Ballpark TODAY.

“We are mere weeks away from the first pitch of the 2016 regular season,” says Ducks President/GM Michael Pfaff. “Fan Fest will give all of our fans a chance to see the team for the first time this year, and we invite everyone to come and enjoy the day’s events.”

Gates will open for Fan Fest, which is free of charge for all, at 10:30 a.m. and features something for every fan to enjoy. All of the Ducks inflatable activities will be open for children, including the Long Island Ducks Bounce House, the Duck Tail Inflatable Slide and the Speed Pitch. Everyone in attendance will be able to take home a memory of their visit to the ballpark by heading to the Ducks Photo Booth. The Waddle In Shop will be open for fans to browse a wide selection of Ducks merchandise, including some brand new items for 2016.

Baseball enthusiasts will be able to watch the 2016 Ducks take batting practice live on the field as they gear up for the upcoming season. At 1:00 p.m. the team will take the field for a spring training game against the cross-sound rival Bridgeport Bluefish. Prior to first pitch, fans will get to cheer along as the entire roster is introduced to the crowd.

Along with the spring training game, season ticket holders will be treated to their annual season ticket holder barbecue, which will take place in the picnic area on the concourse down the left field line. Those attending will get to enjoy an all-you-can-eat assortment of food, beverages and snacks and will receive visits from Ducks players and coaches during batting practice. Season ticket holders will also be able to pick up their VIP gifts during Fan Fest by visiting the Customer Service Center, located on the main concourse near the West Gate.

Members of the Bethpage Federal Credit Union/Long Island Ducks Kids Club will get to celebrate QuackerJack’s birthday at the ballpark. The party will be hosted in the Smokin’ Al’s Party Deck next to the field along the left field line. Members will be able to hang out with Long Island’s favorite mascot, take pictures, enjoy food and beverages, and sing “Happy Birthday” to QJ.

The remainder of the spring training game schedule is as follows:

Friday, April 15: Ducks @ Bridgeport Bluefish – 12:00 p.m. at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard
Monday, April 18: Ducks vs. Long Island Black Sox – 1:00 p.m. at Bethpage Ballpark
Tuesday, April 19: Ducks vs. Long Island Black Sox – 1:00 p.m. at Bethpage Ballpark
