Mario and Luigi join the entertainment for Saturday

(Central Islip, N.Y., Mar. 23, 2012)
– The countdown is on! There are less than 24 hours remaining before individual tickets go on sale for the 2012 Ducks season. The Bethpage Ballpark box office will open at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, and the ballpark will be the one and only place to get Ducks single game tickets until 2:00 p.m. that afternoon. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to ensure the best availability for all of this year’s exciting promotional dates.

A carnival-like atmosphere will descend upon Bethpage Ballpark, with many fun-filled activities and special guests scheduled throughout the morning. Newly added guest stars Mario and Luigi of Super Mario Bros. fame will be on hand to take pictures with fans, courtesy of Play-N-Trade Video Games, along with “Long Island’s Best Mascot” QuackerJack, coach Buddy Harrelson, manager Kevin Baez, outfielder Reid Gorecki, and pitcher Joe Esposito. Emcees The Wiseman & Frank of B-103 will be in attendance as well to help lead the festivities.

There will also be plenty of entertainment for children of all ages. Send in the Clowns Entertainment will be providing fun and games for everyone in attendance, including a magician and caricaturist, while Bethpage Federal Credit Union and Monster Mini Golf will have giveaways and prizes for Ducks fans. Centerplate, the official concessions partner of the Long Island Ducks, Bethpage, Herr’s, Pepsi, and Tropical Smoothie Café will be providing complimentary food and beverages for fans as well.
