Vath begins his first season with the Ducks and second in professional baseball. The pitcher made his pro debut in 2023 with the Great Falls Voyagers of the Pioneer League. He made 10 appearances, posting a 1-2 record and striking out 13 batters in 13.1 innings. The Coram native took part in the Ducks Open Player Tryout on April 13th and earned an invite to spring training.

Prior to his professional career, the 24-year-old played three seasons of collegiate baseball. He spent one year with New York Institute of Technology and two at Louisiana State University Shreveport. In 38 games (34 starts), he went 26-3 with a 2.59 ERA, five complete games and 229 strikeouts to 46 walks over 198.0 innings.
