Encarnacion begins his first season with the Ducks and eighth in professional baseball. The outfielder has spent the past three seasons in the Atlantic League with the Lexington Counter Clocks (2023), and the York Revolution (2021-22). During that stretch, he played in 318 games, batting .282 with 40 home runs, 174 RBIs, 182 runs, 317 hits, and an .803 OPS.

The 26-year-old spent three seasons (2016-18) in the Atlanta Braves organization and two (2019, 2021) in the Baltimore Orioles system, combining to hit .265 with 25 home runs and 155 RBIs across 341 games played. He was signed by the Atlanta Braves as an international free agent in 2016.
