Berardi beings his first season with the Ducks and fourth in professional baseball. The infielder has three years of minor league experience in the Cleveland Indians organization. He started off with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (2017), where he finished with a .284 batting average, 44 hits, 15 RBIs and 16 runs in 38 games. The Long Island native went on to play for the Lake County Captains (2018-19), where he totaled six homers, 48 RBIs, 52 runs, 125 hits, 26 doubles and three triples over 135 games. He also played six games with the Indians’ Arizona League affiliate in 2019. Berardi was originally selected by the Indians in the 10th round of the 2017 amateur draft.
