Bio

Dipoto begins his first season with the Ducks and 10th in professional baseball. The pitcher spent five seasons in the Royals organization (2019, 2021-24) and one in the Phillies organization. In 153 games (two starts) during that time, he posted a 9-5 record with a 3.44 ERA, 15 saves and 249 strikeouts to 137 walks across 212.0 innings pitched. 

The 29-year-old Queens, N.Y. native pitched in 2024 in the Royals organization with the Omaha Storm Chasers (AAA) of the International League and in the Phillies organization with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (AAA) of the International League, combining to pitch in 29 games (two starts), finishing 1-1 with a 4.38 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 37.0 innings of work. Dipoto was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 38th round of the 2015 amateur draft from Newport Harbor High School (Newport Beach, CA) and the Kansas City Royals in the 35th round of the 2019 draft from the University of California, San Diego.
